Most hybrid, utility and FW woods are made of 17-4 or 431 stainless steel. Have you ever tried to adjust the lie on these heads? First thing you have to do is heat the hosel, discoloring the paint and then try your best to bend it without damaging the crown of the club or snapping the hosel. 304 stainless steel requires much less force to bend and heating is not required. This softer stainless steel can also be bent up to 3 degrees without complications.
The X-BRID’s hosel is made of 304 and, using a proprietary fusion welding system, the hosel is attached to the body. The relative density of 304 stainless is also slightly higher than 17-4 or 431 stainless steel, giving the X-BRID slightly more natural hosel weighting, leading to straighter shots.
Apart from the natural benefit of 304 stainless steel’s bendability, 304 also possesses the unique feel of a forged iron. Hitting the X-BRID gives the golfer the feeling of hitting a premium forged club in the center every time.

주기율표 6족에 속하는 은회색 금속.
몰리브덴이 주성분인 합금과 몰리브덴 금속 자체는 대부분의 다른 금속이나 합금이 녹는점 이상에서도 강도가 유지된다.
몰리브덴은 내열성·내식성이 뛰어나서 철합금과 비철합금의 제조에 합금제로 중요하게 쓰인다.
몰리브덴은 철과 강철의 경도를 가장 많이 증가시키는 원소이며, 담금질이나 뜨임처리를 한
강철의 인성(靷性)을 증가시키는 데에도 쓰인다. 제약공정에 사용되는 스테인리스강 및 자동
차 내장제에 쓰이는 크롬강처럼 높은 내식성이 요구되는 경우 소량의 몰리브덴을 첨가하면
이 성질이 훨씬 향상된다.
천연 몰리브덴은 7개의 안정한 동위원소 혼합물 즉, 몰리브덴-92(92Mo : 15.84%),
94Mo(9.04%), 95Mo(15.72%), 96Mo(16.53%), 97Mo(9.46%), 98Mo(23.78%),
100Mo(9.13%)으로 산출된다. 몰리브덴의 원자가는 2~6이며 카르보닐몰리브덴 [Mo
(Co)6]처럼 0가도 있다. 6가의 몰리브덴은 삼산화물과 몰리브덴산염(음이온 MoO42-를
수반)에서 발견된다. 전자는 가장 중요한 화합물로 대부분 다른 화합물 제조에 쓰이고,
후자는 색소와 염료의 원료이다. 이황화몰리브덴(MoS2)은 흑연과 유사하며, 고체 윤활
제 또는 그리스와 기름의 첨가제로 쓰인다. 수소화반응의 촉매로 쓰이는 경우도 있다.
몰리브덴은 식물의 필수 미량원소로서, 특히 콩과식물에서는 촉매로 작용해 박테리아가 질
소를 고정시키는 것을 돕는다. 삼산화몰리브덴과 몰리브덴산나트륨(Na2MoO4)은 미량영양
소(微量營養素)이다.
